Conclusion

Midline catheters offer a safe, effective option for medium-term intravenous therapy. They bridge the gap between short peripheral IVs and central lines, providing reliable access with fewer risks. When used appropriately, midlines reduce complications and improve patient comfort. Proper patient selection and skilled insertion are key to successful outcomes.
